Cape Canopy Tour — South Africa's longest zip-line course in the Hottentots-Holland wilderness, awarded a 2nd place Lonely Planet Best in Travel.

About this experience

A spectacular half-day in the Hottentots-Holland reserve: a 4×4 transfer winds up the mountain into a private wilderness area, then thirteen zip lines span indigenous Afromontane forest, granite cliffs and waterfalls — the longest single line is 320 metres of pure flight.

The canyon was carved over millennia by the Sneeukop river. You'll see king proteas, leopard tracks (rarely the leopards themselves), and rock pools that turn copper in the afternoon light. Guides are mountaineering-qualified and double as bird and botany interpreters between platforms.
