About this experience
Board our proud partner Overberg Aviations' beautifully appointed luxury helicopter right here at the Arabella helipad. You'll lift off low over the Bot River Lagoon mouth, trace the white-sand beach east toward Hermanus, and bank out over Walker Bay where Southern Right whales surface beneath you in turquoise water. After a slow pass over the Hermanus cliffs and Old Harbour, the helicopter brings you back inland and sets down at Benguela Cove on the Bot River Lagoon. You disembark for a private 30-minute pontoon cruise on the same lagoon you just flew over, followed by a sumptuous three-course lunch paired with the estate's own wines and locally produced Cap Classique. A private chartered vehicle returns you to the Arabella lobby.

Meet your pilot at the Arabella helipad for a short safety briefing, then lift off — no road transfer needed.

A low scenic line over the mouth of the famous Bot River Lagoon and along the white-sand beach toward Hermanus.
- 11:20Whales over Walker Bay
Bank out over Walker Bay to spot Southern Right whales from the air, then a slow pass over the Hermanus cliffs and Old Harbour.
- 11:40Land at Benguela Cove
Touch down on the Benguela Cove estate, on the inland side of the Bot River Lagoon.
- 11:30Pontoon cruise on the lagoon
A private 30-minute pontoon cruise across the lagoon you just flew over, through the Kogelberg UNESCO Biosphere.
